YouTube video titled – The Weeknd – Heartless (Audio)
Whew boy, this was a welcome surprised when it dropped on the 27th. This is giving me strong Starboy vibes which is a very very good thing considering it was one of my most favourite albums of 2016.
The Metro Boomin production on this is just straight heat. I cannot wait for the next single to drop from this album and it looks like we won’t have to wait very long.
YouTube video titled – TAEYEON – Into the Unknown (From “Frozen 2″/Official Video)
Okay so I don’t know anything about Frozen 2 but this video showed up in my YouTube recommendations presumably because I’ve listened to a bunch of TAEYEON before this and boy am I glad I decided to give this a listen.
I just cannot get enough of her voice and she does a great job with this song.
The music video for ‘Spark’ a track from TAEYEON’s album
Alright so this album has been on repeat for me for the last couple weeks or so. Someone on a subreddit I frequent mentioned that a streamer was listening to TAEYEON so I decided to check her out. The first thing I saw was the above music video.
This one is for y’all who like to hit up the club. Jubilee’s Mami is a absolute banger of a dance track with a infectious beat interspersed with the vocal hook from Maluca.
Forget about the club, I am dancing in my chair listening to it while writing this post.
You can buy the single and the rest of the album on Bandcamp. I recommend getting the album especially if you are into Jubilee’s style of dance music.
This techno gem came to my attention by way of a interview with the artist published on the Bandcamp Daily blog and it perfectly matches with the game I’ve been playing recently which is The Outer Worlds.
I can totally envision my player character listening to this album while gallivanting around space in her space ship. The music is eminently danceable as well, so like groovy British space techno. If this like something that is up your alley, go check it out on Bandcamp.
When clipping. released the first single for their new album two months ago, I was very intrigued. clipping is best described as a experimental hip-hop group, I didn’t really vibe with their previous album Splendor &Misery, it was a little too harsh for my tastes.
So here we go! This is the first post of my new music blog, Irreverent Space. This blog is intended to be music posting in the way I used to back in my Tumblr days, that is, way more free form and rapid. Think a embed with a few words.
Sometimes I plan on doing longer form pieces but for the most part I want to return to a more rapid style of blogging. I wanted to separate this from my main blog so that I can solely focus on my musical interests.
And without further ado, to start off this blog, I present to you the fantastic new music video for the Dreamville track Down Bad. This track in particular stands out for me in this album as one with some fantastic lyricism especially from J.I.D:
[Verse 2: J.I.D] … I had to tighten the fuck up, but I’m here for the crown Board of Education vs. Brown I was bored of education, left the town …
